Defensive line

Left (Balbuzard): Defensive line
The defensive line consists normally three to six players depending the defensive formation. To be a d-line (defensive line), you need to be muscular, tall and fast because you must tackle the quarterback before he pass the ball. If it's a run, the d-line must also tackle the running back by knocking or pulling him down. A d-line must have a good concentration because he mustn't move before the snap of the offensive center because he will create an offside. This is not good for his team because he loses yards.

Cornerback

The cornerback is generally the most faster player of the defensive. Why? Because his job is to follow the receiver and he's very faster. If he can, the cornerback must intercept the ball because the receiveur mustn't catch it. He must also make a cover zone (if it's his play) to defend against the offense's pass. The cornerback is not tall or very muscular, but it compensates with his high speed and his vivacity.
